Whether it's for aches and pains or simply to relax, massage can be helpful. This treatment could be coupled with a therapeutic acupuncture session or as a standalone treatment.

Relaxation Massage
We understand the need for athletes and sports people to be free of aches, pains and restrictions so they can train and play with ease. Cupping
Cupping is not unique to TCM. It has been used across a variety of cultures and ages for different reasons. At our clinic we mostly use it for muscle pain- very often applied to large muscle groups on the back, shoulders, ITB and gluteal muscles. It is great for stretching facia and increasing blood circulation to local sites.
Cupping usually leaves a round cupping mark for 3-10 days after the treatment. It does not tend to hurt, but can feel quite tight. It also may feel a little tender for a day after the treatment. Weight Reduction/ Shaping
Our massage therapist Hernan trained in the technique of weight reduction massage in Chile where it is a popular treatment. The practitioner manually stimulates the fat cells, breaking fatty accumulations. This treatment is bought as a package, as 10 treatments are needed over a 5 week period. As well as this this, we offer TCM support with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, ensuring a healthy and sustainable pathway for weight loss. Home Massage
Need us to come to you? We can treat you from the comfort of your own home. This service is available to patients in the suburbs surrounding Newtown, however access and travel time will be considered before booking and confirming a practitioner.
We charge extra for this service, and an additional charge may also be discussed if travel time is more than 15 minutes by car from the Newtown clinic.

Mobilisation & Stretching
Injuries, lack of exercise and natural ageing can all result in restricted muscle and joint mobility. Massage therapy can help stretch and relax tense muscles, allowing for increased range of motion. We encourage people to take stretching into their daily life and also offer classes in Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Yoga, which are all great systems for increasing flexibility and strength of the joints, muscles and tendons. Acupuncture & Massage
Massage and acupuncture treatment work well together and we provide special rates for those wishing to use both these therapies on the same day. You can see two practitioners, however it must be on the same day.
15 mins massage for $20
30 mins massage for $50 (usually $55)
60 mins massage for $85 (usually $95)

Hot Stone Massage
The hot stones create warmth and circulation at the place they are applied, helping to relax tight and sore muscles. This treatment is particularly good for those that find heat very therapeutic. Hot stone massage provides a lovely sense of relaxation. The massage therapist will continue to massage parts of the body while the stones do their work on other parts. (Hernan, Oscar, Eileen, Nela)
Lymphatic Massage
Lymphatic massage can be used for a variety of reasons. It can be wonderful for treating problems at the skin level, as well as promoting the movement of fluids and stimulating the lymph nodes.
We see many people using it for heavy or swollen limbs, to support injuries and as part of our weight reduction treatments. It can be deeply relaxing and also helps with unblocking areas massaged. (Hernan, Eileen)
