We are seeking an experienced Registered Acupuncturist to join our busy and well-established acupuncture centre in Wellington, New Zealand.

 

This role involves working with an existing loyal client base, excellent facilities, and a supportive team.

 

Role details

Position: Registered Acupuncturist (must be registered with Chinese Medicine Council of NZ)

Location: Newtown, Wellington

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Pay rate: $34.00 per hour

Employment type: Permanent

 

Roster

Includes one weekend day per week

Start date: From 1st February 2026

 

Key responsibilities

Provide high-quality acupuncture treatments in a fast-paced clinical environment

Develop, implement and support individualised treatment plans

Build and maintain strong long-term therapeutic relationships with clients

Work collaboratively and support a multidisciplinary clinic team 

Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with professional standards

Administerative duties including taking inquiries, being available at reception to support clients checking in and out.

 

Skills and experience

Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience as an acupuncturist

Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with a diverse client base

Confidence managing ongoing and complex treatment plans

Ability to cultivate relationships with other Allied health practitioners to support a patient focused outcomes.

Pregnancy and post-partum care

Musculoskeletal conditions

Chronic health conditions

Strong conventional medicine theory

Scalp acupuncture

Dr Tan methodologies

Electroacupuncture 

 

Essential requirements

Current registration with the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand (CMCNZ)

Eligible to work in New Zealand (or able to meet visa requirements)
